About Us
Enrollment 2026-2027 School Year
If you are requesting to go to our Florence Virtual Academy, please fill out a registration through your ParentVUE account. You do not need to fill out the open enrollment application.
Please understand that your student, if enrolled, will be required to complete makeup work as the FVA Curriculum is not the same as at the traditional schools.
Students who have applied MUST attend their home school until approved and notified of acceptance by FVA.
Attendance Requirements
Arizona Department of Education Guidelines, in the full-time equivalency statement signed by all parents and students during registration:
| Grade Level | Minimum Course Enrollment | Annual Hours | Weekly Minimum | Daily Minimum time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 7-8 | 4 | 1,068 hours | 30 hours | 6 hours per day (360 minutes per day) |
| 9-12 | 4 | 900 hours | 25 hours |
5 hours per day (300 minutes per day) |
Arizona Law requires that students taking online courses away from their school site keep a daily log for their time spent on academic tasks, related to their online learning. Attendance is kept by our learning management system for our 7th – 12th grade students.
Students need to be in attendance daily with their teacher, completing all necessary assignments and meeting the minimum attendance requirements. If you have late, missing assignments or a failing grade, it is a requirement to work beyond the daily hours of school to catch up (homework).
If a student misses 10 or more days worth of school they will be in AUDIT. This is equivalent to 50 hours of virtual attendance for High School students and 60 hours of virtual attendance for Middle School students.
